We do not use that term, as it is typically associated with providers who offer a slew of unproven lab tests, medications, hormones, supplements, and therapies. Instead, we take a highly scientific, evidence-based approach to prevention and longevity. While we do recommend some vitamins and supplements, or even manage medication(s), our primary focus remains on lifestyle.

“I find this term to be a bit silly, as biological aging and death are inevitable. However, ultimately, old age is predominantly a loss of function over time. In many ways, a person can improve or regain the ability to perform a physical task, making them feel or look like a younger version of themselves! A better approach and mindset is to slow the effects of aging. In this regard, we have a tremendous ability.” - Dr. Neu
Caveat: Of course, some skin-deep cosmetic treatments can help a person look younger on the outside. :) -
While hormones can undoubtedly play a significant role in our health, our prevention and longevity services do not offer “hormone replacement” (HRT) treatment, including testosterone. When appropriate, we offer HRT as part of our primary care services. However, we will not sell “hormones” as a fountain of youth or magic elixir as a persons health is much more complicated than any single system.

We do not describe our practice or medical approach to primary care or prevention/longevity services as “alternative” in the traditional sense—providing lots of lab testing, vitamins, herbs, etc. Dr. Neuhofel is a board-certified Family Medicine physician.
However, we appreciate patients seeking alternatives, as traditional medical practices are often unable to fully address the root cause of illness such as lifestyle factors.

Yes. People with chronic or pre-existing health conditions may use our preventive and longevity services. In some cases, medical issues may preclude certain types of testing, such as exercise-based testing. We conduct a thorough intake to ensure each patient is eligible for a service.

Many of our services can provide guidance on nutrition. However, we take an agnostic approach as there is no single best “diet” plan for everyone. Healthy eating can be achieved in many ways as long as some fundamentals are followed.

Nope…. but we do think every human being requires a certain amount of physical activity to achieve optimal health. There is no substitute for movement, nor magic exercise pills. So many of our programs heavily empahsize smart programing of exercise to improve your health and function.
