Acne management made easy.
Microdose Accutane Program
-
Powerful medicine at a safer dose
Isotretinoin, aka Accutane, has long been used for more severe or stubborn acne. This medication when used orally commonly causes side effects or harm at standard dosing, requiring frequent doctor visits and labs.
With lower (micro) dosing protocols, Accutane remains very effective while less likely to cause harm and side effects.
-
Simple, affordable monitoring & meds
Traditional Accutane management can be a real hassle and expensive with frequent trips to the doctor, lab, and pharmacy with expensive bills from each of them!
Our program provides everything for $50-100 per month*, including the medication directly from our clinic at a discounted wholesale prices!
-
An option even for mild acne
Generally, doctors (and insurance companies!) reserve Accutane for more severe cases of acne. Given the complexity and risks of high-dose regimens, trying the alternatives (topicals, antibiotics, etc.) makes sense.
With micro-dosing, we can treat mild or moderate acne without the need to mess around with less effective treatments.
-
Longer term use to stay clear
Generally, a high-dose regimen of Accutane is stopped after 4-6 months. While off, fingers are crossed that your acne doesn't flare up; if it does, you start the high dose cycle again.
Our microdose protocol allows the medication to be continued much longer periods to ensure clear skin.
90 Days to Better Skin
-
Our 90-day introduction program is $159 + the cost of medication (paid monthly). The intro includes an evaluation (online + in-person visit), lab work (2 panels), pregnancy tests (females), and remote support for 3 months.
-
First, you'll complete our online intake to determine whether a microdose of Accutane is right and safe for you.
We also ask you to enroll in the iPledge program. -
We will arrange for you to have bloodwork drawn at Quest Labs. We will review that lab work, including liver enzymes and cholesterol, to ensure Accutane is safe to take.
After 60 days, we will arrange for the lab work to be repeated to make your body is tolerating the medication.
Best of all, there is no additional charge for labs! -
Our provider will examine your skin and discuss the options for micro-dose regimens of Accutane based on severity, history, and preferences.
-
Given the risk of fetal toxicity, we need to ensure females are not pregnant before starting Accutane and continue to ensure they do not become pregnant. This requires:
Enrollment in iPledge program
2 negative pregnancy test over a period of 30 days before starting medication.
Contraception plan with 2 forms--primary & secondary.
We will also provide home pregnancy tests to be completed and reported monthly.
-
Our program offers isotretinoin (20 mg generic version) tablets at a discounted price directly from our clinic. The most common “microdose” regimens & pricing* are:
20 mg twice weekly (example: Sun & Thu) = $15/mo.
20 mg Mon-Friday (5 days/week) = $30/mo.
20 mg everyday = $45/mo.
If a person has more severe acne, we may recommend a higher “standard” dose regimen of 40-80 mg/day for some period of time.
*Subject to change based on wholesale pricing.
-
While part of the program, we will check in with you remotely by email or text message. You can share photos of your progress or ask any questions without a trip to the clinic.
We do not require in-person provider visits to the clinic for check-ups or refills. However, if you would like an additional skin exam, we offer that for $50 per visit. -
After completing the 90-day introduction program, we offer a monthly maintenance program for just $39 per month. This provides ongoing remote support, monthly pregnancy tests (females), and access to discount medications.
During this time we can adjust dosing and regimen based on your acne severity.
In-person clinic visits are not required, but available for $100.
We do require lab work (blood draw) approximately every 6 months at a cost of $20.

Patients who can become pregnant must answer detailed questions online every month before they can get their medication, which must be picked up within 7 days. Otherwise, patients may be locked out of the iPledge system and won't be able to get their medication for 2 weeks.
