Part-time Primary Care Nurse Position

To Start May-July 2020

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training: up-to-date certified/licensed* RN or LPN required (*or anticipated graduation/testing scheduled).
Experience: Experience in outpatient primary care (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics), Urgent Care or Emergency Room employment preferred, but not required.
Skills: Must be independently comfortable performing phlebotomy (adults & older children), lab processing, point-of-care lab tests, injections (intramuscular), simple wound care (dressing changes etc.), procedure assistance, ear irrigation, suture removal. Other medical experience or skills, including starting IVs, triaging and health education, are a bonus but not required.
Language: Must be fluent in English; other languages, especially Spanish, a bonus.

JOB DUTIES

Greeting patients, taking health history, scheduling visits, follow-up and reminders
Helping maintain medical records and documents
Answering telephone, monitoring emails, fax & online systems
Billing & collecting payments, notifying of past due bills
Clean & maintain medical instruments/equipment, light cleaning of office
Vital signs measurement, Procedure/exam set-up, assistance & clean-up
Phlebotomy, specimen collection, lab processing, etc. (see skills above)

HOURS & PAY

Start Date: May-June 2020
Hours: Starting at part-time, 10-20 hours per week on average. Regular clinic hours are Monday-Friday: 8a - 5pm, but can arrange regular 1/2 or full day off per week.
Pay: $22-30/hr based on experience and skills.
Potential for position to be full-time with vacation/PTO and paid-holidays but uncertain timeline.
